LQ9 Limp home

After cruising around and enjoying the 2005 X45 w/ LQ9 for a couple hours yesterday, we were on our way home. All was fine... running around 3,000 rpms, oil pressure, water temp, volts, everything was great. Then the engine just went to idle and the alarm sounded. No more throttle response. I turned the engine off, restarted and we got to about 2,500 rpm for about a minute and then we went back to idle again. For fear something would be damaged, we simply idled home (took about an hour).

Been through a lot of the threads on limp home but most seem to be about throttle limited to 3,000 rpms. My boat just went back to idle. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'd love to go out on the 4th.
