no mention of the new mirror law on the news this morning, yet they noted 3 other bills that became law yesterday. we need this to stay under the radar or next thing you know we'll have leftist paddler type protestors at the boat ramps around Madison.

There is no technical definition or "mirror restriction". The law states a wide-angled mirror. That leaves a certain level of interpretation for a LEO.
There is also no new language as to the age of the driver. This law doesn't change existing law in that respect. The expectation is that a boat owning parent should know when and when not to allow their children to operate the boat. Those children, being born well after the year required for instruction, would have all been through the boaters safety course.

This is great news!!!! Selfishly If they would only lift the waterski ban of no skiing before 10 am or after 5 pm in the town the parents are in, life would be great.

Way to keep on this! I always thought it was a good law until the cameras and mirrors came about. Thanks again, this will make sessions with me and kids so much more available. YESSSS!

Received the Wisconsin Boating Regulations pamphlet with my renewed boat registration. Still says an observer is required, though they probably printed a gajillion of these a couple of years ago. Lake Mendota in Madison-----any rumble on them trying to put an additive policy in place requiring a spotter? Thanks!
