BOAT REVIEW
The flagship wakeboarding model in Malibuís lineup, the Wakesetter VLX is back for 2007 with as much wake-focused energy and passenger-friendly comfort as ever. Equipped with 1,250 pounds of available ballast, the new all-stainless-steel Power Wedge and the Illusion X tower, this powerful V-drive blends pro-level performance with an on-board personality that the whole crew will dig. Buyers looking for a thoroughbred wakeboarding machine wonít be able to resist the urge to experience this wakeboard and ski boat for themselves.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
For years Malibuís Wakesetter VLX has delivered on its unspoken promise to offer world-class performance. Its V25 Wake hull works with 900 pounds of standard ballast to churn up huge swells, and with the new all-stainless-steel Power Wedge deployed, the wakes arenít just pro-level in size, theyíre shaped for advanced moves too. Well-formed peaks with mellow transitions make it easy to edge, but still kick you up, while the long landing zones provide plenty of room for when you come back down. Still, the adjustable wedge lets you sculpt the wakes to your ability, making the VLX a versatile boat that will suit riders at almost all levels.

And drivers of all levels will appreciate the expert handling abilities of the VLX, which come courtesy of Malibuís deep Gorilla tracking fins and balanced hull. It cuts through double-ups like a champ and holds a solid line even with powerful riders in tow.

The lcr is going to have a tough time if you want to weigh this boat heavy. It doesn't really get the job done on my buddy's vtx unless propped really, really low

nope, you're going to need something like a acme 1516-112m (14.5x12ish or something like that). 15 is too much diameter for that engine.

Beautiful boat but with the small engine and no bow ballast that it would be hard to sell. the Bow ballast in the Malibu made a huge difference. I had and 2005 VLX with the Quad ballast and a 2002 will the three tank system and the difference in wake was night and day. Both had the hammerhead engine.
