Goodyear Marathon exploded...

I guess I need to get a new spare tire This one had never touched pavement...it spent it's entire life bolted to the side of the trailer.

Air and exposure to sunlight are two of the three aspects that cause a tire to wear. I can quote you on a Kenda Loadstar KR03 to replace that if you are interested.

I forgot to look at the code but I think it's around 7-8 years old. I was going to replace it next year, but now I'm thinking maybe a little earlier. I replace all four tires on the trailer with Maxxis ones a couple of years ago...I'll probably just stick with the same brand. Looking back I guess I should have replaced the spare at the same time.

It's easy to economize on the spare tire, especially on a tandem axle trailer. It usually seems like s good idea until you need it in the road. Good thing you didn't try to run that.

I would let thatsmrmastercraft give you a quote. Could save you some cash. I and many others on here have used him and saved money and gotten good tires and great service.

get a cover for your spare.. them UV rays are a killer - unless you have level 4 MCOCD and you rub SPF 50 lotion on the spare every day or two

I've had trouble with older trailer tires before so now I just replace them all after 4 years regardless.
