The best times with my kids have always been on the water. Congratulations to you and your growing family!

We have plenty of skiers. We need more judges, scorers, drivers, safety coordinators...

Congrats! Had my firstborn in November of ‘12. In fact, 3 days after I bought my first (and still current) boat is when we found out my wife was preggers. That first summer, although memorable and probably the best summer of my life up until that point, just pales in comparison to each summer after it, because they just keep getting better after my son was born. He’s five now, my second son is three and they can’t wait for warmer weather so they can get back on the water!

Soak up every minute. Seems like my firstborn was only born yesterday and now he’s five already. I heard an interesting stat the other day: by the time your kids move out of the house you will have spent more than 80% of the time you’ll ever get with them. I’m going to hang onto my boat (or maybe upgrade) so they will have a reason to visit home more often when they’re in college/young adulthood!

Well said dvsone79... I couldn't had said it any better. My first is now 14 and growing up fast. I too will hang onto our boat to lure them back....

Thanks all, we are both really excited. Definitely not missing out on any sleep at the moment, but I know that will be coming to a VERY abrupt end. It's all good though!

Congrats! Our will be two the 1st of August. We actually got him out on the boat at 3 or 4 weeks old if that’s any encouragement to you!

When I was about four my dad walked me to the edge of the water and said, "Son, I hope you love the water someday as much as I do." 15 years later I think I love boating and water skiing more than him, and next season I will be out on my own slalom boat. I hope your child loves it like all the rest of us do.
