Over tower cover pooling 2018 XT22

Anyone else with the over tower cover having an issue with water pooling. I had the same issue in my previous NXT and was able to rework the straps to solve the problem. Hereís a pic from a quick shower last night. The cover is installed correctly and all straps and ratchets are tight. I was afraid of the over tower cover for this reason so I even put a 2Ē wood block under the support poles to add height and hopefully prevent pooling but that didnít work. Surely mastercraft can design a cover that doesnít retain water pools, right?!?

Does the over the tower cover still require the poles to be put in place?

Edit: I just noticed you added height to the support poles...can you route the straps from the support poles over the tower to keep the cover higher up?

There are no straps to the poles anymore. With my NXT the poles w/ straps were separate from the cover and i was able to reroute the straps. But, now the caps for the poles are sewn into the cover so there are no straps to reroute.

Cut a 2x4 to length and put it in there. if you are worried about the 2x4 rubbing and wearing the cover in that spot. sand the end of the 2x4 and or put that 3m rubber tape or something on it. I have a 2x4 bow post. works great. didn't even cut it. It fit perfectly and it grips on the carpet/deck decent enough so it doesn't fall ever.

Here are a couple of thoughts:
1) Can you extend the pole higher?
2) Can you put a rope or strap through the tower handles...maybe extend it to the windshield to keep the tarp higher up? Like below...
