Surf board options

So Im a big guy and surf the phase 5 Trident and Inland Surfer Red Rocket. Problem is when I take others to the lake those boards are too big for them. Especially to learn on. Im looking for a board that is fairly cheap to keep in the boat for guest to use. Looking for something for guys around 175lbs. Any recommendations?

Try and find a used Blue Lake on here. Not as big as Red Rocket and allows for advancement. Lots of used (nice) boards for sale on these forums. Check out For Sale threads.

We’ve had good luck teaching people on a ronix powertail. It’s a 3 fin setup and as people start getting better we start taking fins off. Good beginner to intermediate board.

Just got the 2018 CONNELLY BENTLEY 5ft and love it - paid about $320. Anyone can use it - small, large, etc... you will never use that Red Rocket again if you get this.

Doomswell Carbon Skim. My entire family rides it from my fat butt (6'4 225) all the way down to my 80pound 12 year old daughter. Buy the hotstix futures fins for it. Incredible.
