Bump - Was trying to buy one in Boston area but survey/inspection came back with a bunch of issues beyond normal wear and tear. Anyone know of any CSX 220s east of the Mississippi w/ t-top , SS (closed cooling) and ballast system?

Yes, it was the blue and yellow one. Maybe I'm overreacting as I'm not sure what's typical wear and tear on a boat. Anything stick out to you as glaring issue besides #'s 1,2,3?

1. Needs new strut and check engine alignment.
2. Weld crack on aluminum forward T-Top
3. Prop needs replacing. It maybe able to be reconditioned.
4. Fuel gauge not working.
5. Depth and speed not functioning.
6. Gelcoat cracks aft starboard bottom. Cosmetic but recommend sealing.
7. Some corrosion noted on ends of aluminum manifolds where it joins into raw water injection. Cooling fine but will require monitoring. Engine mount molts show corrosion. Clean and protect. Alternator shows some corrosion. Still functions.
8. Yellow and Blue gelcoat oxidized and will require wet sanding.
9. Forward and aft facing seats show weathered and discolored.
10. Battery switch and main dc breaker back of panel corroded terminal. Replace.
11. Gasket covering fuel tank hatch is not secure and wasted.
12. Ballast control plastic panel in aft area is loose. Secure.
13. No VHF seen
14. Forward boarding ladder needs hinge fasteners.
15. Pistons that hold up sink hatches not secure.
16. Horn not functioning.
17. Cosmetic toe rail gelcoat crack on port side aft of spring cleat.

Can you send me the details on it? I may be changing my mind on the t-top requirement?

This explains why the guy has been using the same two pics in his ad for the last two years. I would guess those pics are quite old. I would be walk away from that one. Combine the strut issue with the fact the guy was somehow able to crack the t-top tubes and that screams someone who had no idea what he was doing with it. I agree that nothing about the other items screams major, but if this guy didn't maintain the boat you're going to be chasing gremlins all over that boat. I would stay away.
