New Carpet

Been a slow couple of weeks but the new carpet is finally in. I also replaced the rear floor panel with 25mm marine ply as the original aluminium honeycomb was toast...And yes, if anyone's wondering, I forgot to cut the hole for the ski pole!!

Now I just need to put her all back together...

Admin.
I just realised that this thread probably belongs elsewhere. If it needs to move, pls do so.
Cheers

Did you do your own carpet work???

That's some of the best I've seen on here. Beautifully installed.

Thanks guys - OCD is alive and kicking down under! Whilst I did all the prep work, I can't take credit for the meticulous carpet install. That was done by Adam and his team at Bundoora Boat Upholstery, the same guys who did the interior for Australian Waterski Magazines' 1983 S&S restoration detailed in the link below. Now that was one sweet piece of work!!

I know this is an old thread but I am in the process of doing the same thing on my 1995 Prostar 190.
What did you use to strip the old carpet glue? Iíve been on my knees for hours trying to get it off. Iíve tried 3 different products but still need to scrub and scrape like crazy.
Great job on the restore.

Belt sander / 80 grit. Let it rip. Works just fine and much easier.
