Any tweak of the ballast, or just fill it up? How many people in the boat? Always looking to dial in the 2017 we picked up mid-year. Will be trying these next season. Thanks.
I found on my friends XT21 the factory settings were pretty good. He has Plug and Play and a few people in the boat.

Here is a video I did in the spring time... no additional fat sacs.

Not on a Gen2 boat

Anyone tried adding one of these or similar to our modern surf assist setups? Wave looks awefully nice and curly If you can believe it. I'm tempted to give it a shot...can always resell or send it back if it's a flop...
I had one on my previous boat. The Nauticurl definitely cleaned up the face of the wave, but itís biggest advantage was being able to evenly ballast the boat without having to list it to one side. I sold mine when I sold the boat or I would give it a try with the Gen2. The Nauticurl does NOT add any height to your wave. I agree with others on here, no need for this with Gen2. Weight/displacement of water is most important. I see you are opposed to lead, but depending on how many people are in the boat, lead can be your easiest method to get your weight in the right locations. We use our 400lbs of lead when the boat members are few to keep the ballast consistent. We remove the lead when we have 6 or more adults.

Nauticurl?

X30 Gen 2 with 1100 sacs and two crew aboard. Goofy is as stellar as regular.

Regular with full crew including three big doods.

We don’t need no stinking Nauticurl.

Tried various combinations of ballast/plate/speed. Don't misunderstand, the wave is nice, but I want it steeper and cleaner. When I was riding my P5 Danielo I was happier with it than I am now with my Soulcraft. Can I live w it the way it is, of course...but I know it can be better...that's actually part of the fun.

This isn't about slamming MC or their system, I WAS JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAD TRIED THE DEVICE.

There are a bunch of threads on here about various types of add-on devices -- fakegates, suckgates, etc.
This is the "Mother of them All" if you have time to read! https://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk...ad.php?t=70442
Nauticurl is referenced in several of them, like here:

I think the nauticurl works way better than the Gen2 plates. I use it and don't deploy the plates and get a much better wake.

Not to offend you, but youíre not setting your boat up correctly. The 22 is a very very good surf boat.
