81 S&S Dash

I use to be on the forum (this forum was a huge help restoring my 83) but my account was deleted.

I just picked up an 81 that needs a lot of work.

The dash is some type of rubber and starting to fall apart.

Has anyone every saved one of these dashes?

The Gel on the boat is in very bad shape, and the interior is shot, but the stringers were replaced a few years ago. The 351 runs poorly but the Power Slot seems to be in good shape.

Here is a picture. The colors are tan with a root beer flake stripe, even thogh it looks gray.

Dash

I haven't restored that kind of dash but I think others have sprayed them with LINE X or some kind of bed liner material.

Please post Pics of the restore.
