Discussion on the PATENT

This was discussed with GREAT FURVER on www.wakeworld.com
Look in the PATENT records MC has the patent. Typical BU retoric
to mimic what other boat manufactuers have brought to the table.

This maybe of interest...
MC has to PAY CC a TOWER licensing fee for EVERY tower installed on a MC boat. MC is the ONLY company to be current with CC in its payment. Every other company is behind. CC did not even invent the tower idea. Just attaching a SKI ROPE to it completed the idea.

Man are there towers ugly and non functional.

MasterCraft uses a plastic sleeve which slides / rotates around a stationary pylon.

Malibu uses a pylon with a swivel head which contains a ball bearing assembly. The whole head swivels. Guess this is why they claim to be first.

Both accomplish the same thing, reduced rope wear. Seems to me that if the MC plastic sleeve were to split it would not release the rope. If the 'Bu system fails, I think the whole head could come flying off.

I like my MC system better.

I remember this being discussed on here before, too. Funny that WSM wouldn't even mention the MC design, which if I recall, had a patent a year or two earlier. I could be off by a year though.
