That's crazy that yalls duck season is so early. we don't get duck season until November.

They're not coming down in huge numbers, yet, but we definitely have some around. Takes a long time to get south...

yeah I bet they do. For some strange reason we have a bunch of Canadian Geese flying around in Louisiana right now.

finally got out to my new lease in eastern central Texas, got stand set up and 2nd feeder going. My son forgot to take his laptop, so didn't get a chance to download any pictures from the 3 trail cams. Here is my new set up.

I skipped labor day weekend at the lake for the first time in a long time but I thought I had a good chance at this stud and that wasn't an opportunity I wanted to pass up. Long story short he switched patterns last week and went nocturnal on me a couple days before season started. I should have just went to the lake.

But they have pushed our early goose season back to mid september and there's a 5 bird limit early season so hopefully we'll be dropping some long necks here in a couple weeks.
