Dead Impeller

Probably the first post to cover this topic EVER! Changed this out late last year. The only sign of trouble was a rise in temp of about 2 degrees under hard use. Very hard to tell unless you're paranoid.

And don't forget to clean your cooler.
Edit: ignore the date. I can't program my VCR either.

Man, that is shredded ... I am thinking about replacing the ballast impellers with these Globe run dry impellers

THE ONLY IMPELLER IN THE WORLD THAT'S GUARANTEED TO RUN DRY FOR 15 MINUTES! ... I bet they also make one that would work in the water pump ... wonder if it would last longer?

I believe that Indmar uses Johnson pumps. Which model is it, and which of these dry-run impellers is appropriate?

I have a globe impeller in mine right now, so far no problems, but as long as you change every year, I believe all that is necessary is a good quality one. Mine uses the #BRC-100V (Johnson #09-812B replacement), which cost $26 when I bought it, inflation I guess.
