My wife drove very slow and I held the skimmer in place while we made a big deal about how she was skiing!!

Last night we pulled her from shallow water where my nephew was holding her steady. We used the short rope and handle from the barefoot boom. This way we could just reel her up and on to the platform without falling when she was done.
Chad,
Great pic of your daughter! I taught both of my kids to ski using a skimmer as well. You might want to try adjusting the handle a bit lower so she is not holding the handle up at her chest. I always had mine adjusted at waist level for the kids. Just a suggestion.....I'm sure she'll have fun either way!

TXMC held a series of 3 tournaments this summer and this is my 9 y/o after winning the beginner 1 series. She had a 2nd place in June, a 1st in July and a 3rd in August for first place overall. The tournament has pushed her as she has worked on her surface tricks and added surface 3's (and 7's) and 1's from toe, heal and center.
