Extremely Sorry! I've had to put 3 Scotties down over the years. Always a very tough day.

We had our son’s Pitbull (Mae) over the Labor Day weekend. The water was extremely low, so there was an 11 foot drop between the dock and the floater. I have a railing and steps on one side of the gangway, and our dog Brody (the fat black one) uses the steps when the gangway gets steep…but not Mae. The last trip off of the floater, Mae tried to make a U-turn on the gangway and went off the side. She fell 11 feet and landed on the shore with a loud POP. Amazingly it didn’t appear to hurt her, but we still have an appointment with the vet today to get her checked out. She is only a year old, and she now understands the concept of “height”.

Ol' Scout is getting bigger but at 33 lbs is still only a bit over 1/2 way to full size. He likes the boat a lot and has finally decided he likes swimming too. We have to keep a close eye on him or he will try to jump out at any speed if he sees something in the water that he feels like chomping.

He's growing up, MC Dave; not a puppy anymore. He also has that eye lockdown of a good hunting dog.

I have two patiently waiting. Lol. As you can also tell it's hard to get a good picture of a dark dog.

There is no doubt about it that she is has the eye lockdown. She will sit and stare at you until you throw her the ball

Yours looks as happy as a clam with your daughter. Labs are some of the best dogs.

I thought Riley was a boy, my bad.
Trust me, like yours, she's more worried about the throw toy than her buddy, who is trying to be like a dog, Lol. I couldn't get either of them out of the water that day.

N o problem at all. My wife tells me all the time that people think she is a boy. She wants her to have a pink collar.

It hard to get them out of the water, both kids and dog.

Riley will just go swim out in the river when she thinks im ready to go up. Needless to say, she hasn't left her bed since she has been home. Swimming is the only thing that makes her tired.
