I saw that episode too.....lost a lot of respect for Mark Cuban on that deal.

Maybe good idea for kids, but I don't see it as much of a challenge for adults to do.
Sort of like learning to ride a tricycle. Just my $.02

Begs the question, "why not surf". Of course, surfing behind boat, begs the question "why not wakeboard".

+1 on just dumb.

So realistically surfing is a feminine activity generally speaking.....

Maybe it's a coastal vs. land-locked state thing, but I'm not sure where all the hate is coming from. Looks like it could be fun. Not sure I'd want to be dragged by a boat, but I grew up bodysurfing, bodyboarding, surfing and generally just goofing around in the surf. Never had a handboard like that, but I would grab a kickboard to help get a little more lift on smaller waves, so I totally get the idea of a hand plane like that. Now the $150-200 price is a little nuts for what it is, but I could get in to the idea of trying to shape and glass my own, just for kicks.

Think you could get enough push to go without the rope? Anyone tried it? I might have to get a one and try it out. www.slydehandboards.com

That looks ridiculous. I guess if you wanted to get a workout equivalent to about 300 push ups over a matter of a couple minutes, this might make sense. I'm not even opposed to trying some new stuff behind a boat, but this is just weird since you just get dragged. If you're going to "hand surf", why not get a body board portion too and boogie board with your hands out front on those other skis. This is just weird.

I used those as a kid in California and I am old. Not a new product. As far as the video behind the boat ... why? Looks like a stupid way of drinking the lake.

I dont know about all you haters but body surfing is crazy fun in the Ocean from Hawaii to the back of the boat in MN. I would totally buy a hand board and use it. You see lots of them on the North Shore of Hawaii kids rocking it out having a great time!

We body surf when we want to change it up and just goof around. Dont knock it unless you tried it bc its fun! How do you think new sports are born people get sick of the same thing and say "What if we did?"
