In my industry the more options the better. I would rather have a loaded up boat and have options just incase we want to use them than not having the option at all. It's also much easier to sell toys when they have lots of options

Load it up. The one thing to think hard about is whether to go with the closed loop on your engine. Not necessarily SS series, just the closed loop.It is not an aftermarket feature ( as far as MC or Ilmor are concerned) right now.

After 30hrs playing with the boat I can say that the Gen2 is "ok" but doesn't work that well out of the box for a great wake on both sides (even with 750lbs rear locker sacs and lead) and it's never ever steep enough if you like to do big airs etc. Listing the boat is the only way to go unless you're ok with a flatter wake with much less push (which we aren't

New board gets here Friday the 20th

A little birthday lake fun. A day of lots of firsts and my wife and I didn't have our normal boards today as they were damaged a few weeks ago and aren't back yet so we rode an old board. We bought a skim board to try out for the first time that's in the video. This is with the boat listed not using the Gen2 tabs at all

First time using a GoPro (and on a pole)
First time making a video montage (Only spent about 5min putting this together)
Second day out on the Skim board for us trying to figure that out. Quite a bit different than the surf boards
First time riding Goofy for me today but rode Port normal, port switch, goofy and goofy switch. Learning how to ride goofy was starting all over again. Now I know how the first timers feel on our boat again It was fun though
First time surfing for our friend Amanda (wireless too)
First time surfing for our friend Mike on his new board

Good video, that water is super clean compared to the mud hole we boat in. What would you suggest for board that would make doing a 360 easier. I have attempted a 360 about 20 times with no success, I am not getting around fast enough.

thanks

360's are all about technique. Any of the good fast customs will do 3's easy and skim boards will spin all day. I tried a few times today but didn't land one. Today I mainly skimmed and surfed goofy normal and goofy switch.

**Woons** Thanks for all of the vids and info on surfing the X-30! I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an X-30 and have a couple of quick questions:

- Dealer pushing 6.0, is 5.7 suffiecient? Which one do you use?
- Sounds like your last post shows Gen 2 are not a necessary option?

Thanks!

New Custom Soulcraft Boarding board is here! Blunt nose, three sets of fin boxes, grab rails and it's super light. Can't wait to ride this thing!!!

5.7 works for me. 5.7 worked at altitude up at Lake Powell as well. The X30 makes a better surf wake without the Gen2 when listed but the Gen2 is good for easy setup and transitions.

I would go with the 6.0. The more the better and it's an upgrade you can't do later. I have the 6.2L in my 2013 X-30 and I don't ever regret going with less. Congrats on your pending purchase the X-30 is an awesome boat.
