FWIW, I just checked my 94 Maristar 225 LT1 and with 700 hours, stock OJ 13x13 prop (1:1 direct drive), WOT was 4000 RPM, 45 MPH with 3 people onboard.

I'll bring a gps with me next week to see if speedometer / speed is correct,

I ordered a new prop, 14X20 (boat had a 14X18). I've gotta say, never seen one that is "ribbed" like this. Every prop I've ever had or seen is smooth. You can see the difference, old on the left, new on the right.

Did that come from OJ? It sure looks different than my new 14x20.

Yes, it did come from OJ. Cost: $559.00 Not cheap, seems the last prop I bought through the MC dealer (also a 14X20 1 1/8") was about $450.00. Anyway, I'm going to install it when I get a new SS cotter pin (at that price you'd think it would come with a new pin AND nut). My old one didn't survive the removal.

That is perfectly normal for the CNC manufacturing process. Can't get much nicer of a balanced prop. Thus the higher cost but it's worth every Abe.

PS: Nice shoes....

Thanks for that bit of information, I feel better now! I've just never seen one like that before.
Oh, about my shoes, most comfortable I've ever owned, (seems like most of the real ugly ones are).

That is not a OJ, its a Acme prop. OJ uses rounded blades not pointed like Acme.

Took the boat out today with the new 14X20 prop on it. HUGE difference, and I really wasn't expecting that much from a 14X18. 3500 RPM now gets me 38 MPH, 5200 RPM reached 48 MPH. Much better than before! Still very respectable hole shot power as well. Money well spent. Nice smooth performing prop.
