Shot of house tequila, a 24 oz Tecate draft, followed by a Victoria poured into a salted rim pounder with a squeeze of lime. Rollin' Mexican...

Sounds like a cool job. I am an international guy too so I can appreciate your enthusiasm for some time off. You have me curious.

How much time do you spend at sea? What mainland nation are you the closest to? Do you get to fly back to TX on all of your breaks?

We fly into HK out of the states, then sometimes ferry over to Shekou (main land China), where our office is. Most of the time we ferry over to Zhuhai (Main Land China) and chopper out of Zhuhai to the MODU (Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit on an hour and 3/4 flight.
And yes, since I've married, I fly straight home to my lovely wife and baby boy. I've been doing theis work for 18+ years so I have had my adventures overseas, I assure ya.

Psychobilly, I noticed that you are from Tomball, TX. What a small world. I grew up there back in the mid 80's, used to play football on the Tomball Redcats (big youth football team). Are they still around? Tomball used to be just this tiny little town....I live in Central WA now. Funny
