Whos rockin six speakers on a zft2/4/5/7

Im curious who else has stepped outside the manufactured speaker mounts in the tower and added a 3rd pair to the outside on a zft2/4/5/7. I know Ive seen some pictures of this setup. Id like to hear how others did the wiring and powering and which speakers were used. I recently installed a third pair of the JL Audio m880 tower speaker pods. I originally had 4 of them powered off a wetsounds sd2 so they each got 300 Watts a piece. (600 x2 @ 2 ohm). Re ran the tower with 12 gauge knukoncepts kord when installing the first two pair. No way I was doing that again so I just ran short wires from the old outside pair to the new outside pair and connected them in parallel on the SD2. Then connected the inner pair to a wetsounds stx4 micro bridges to get 280 Watts each. Seems to work great. Significantly louder. Post pics if you have a 6 on top setup!

I tried contacting hydrotunes before for help wiring the tower. no dice. Itd be pretty easy to go the bar clamp mount with the revs. Looks like they welded speaker mounts on. I actually think I have some fixed clamps in my garage from my old x2 if youre interested. Idk if revs come with them or not. Power them with two SD6s. 585 per speaker. Thatd be the best setup possible in my opinion. Probably want to run 6 pairs of 12 gauge wire tho and thats gunna be a b****

It'd be money. Sounds like thats what Wetsounds ran on their SEMA boat this year. Oh and 4 15s on 2500 watts a piece!

My bad last year at SEMA is what I meant. Yea it'd be sweet to go. With only 4 speakers I think your only option to get in that range of power per speaker is two SDX4s which is actually 685 per speaker. For close to the same money you could go ahead and get two SDX6s and be prepared for that extra pair in the future. If you don't use it you got lots of power for more in-boats. Cant have too many of those.
