Snowing like Mad

We have gotten about 8" of snow today and it isn't letting up any time soon by the looks of it.

On a brighter note though it has warmed up to just below freezing

I hear ya. We only got down to about -28C here and I had the exact same thought. I even considered going out and having a look then I thought no, there is nothing I can do about it now anyway so why depress myself if there is something wrong.

Here's to positive thoughts that all of the water that needed to be drained did in fact get drained

No you need to have a really big chunk of cash to live on the lake here now. The real estate in Kelowna has skyrocketed in the last couple of years (I think waterfront jumped 47% or something like that). We are lucky though that Okanagan Lake is right in town and just a little bit away (15-20 min) there are 2 other lakes that are a good size. I spend a lot of time on a smaller lake near Salmon Arm that is excellent for skiing and only about 2 hours away.

How about you? How is the lake situation there? Have you ever ventured out to BC?

Was in McKenzie for 2 weeks in fall of 05 for work. Not much to see there...Beautiful outdoors scenery though.
Living on a small lake about 1.5 hour east of Montreal for the last 5 years.Wouldn't go back to live in the city.
