Miss that truck.
2 weeks to figure out a vibration under throttle was driveline related? Not sure why they were considering the tires as a possible cause.

This was in July of 2015 when these trucks were still pretty new, and there wasn’t a definitive answer to the fix. I also had a free rental from them so I didn’t care

Our cleaning company's rep is here and he has a '17 silverado that he purchased. He had the Chevy Shake and Chevy scrapped his truck and replaced it after a month in the shop.

Not sure if my buddy is having so much trouble because his is a lease? Either way, Chevy's response to him and others that aren't getting their trucks replaced is pathetic.

Probably the best vehicle ever made. I sold my 01 this spring with 211k on it and it was perfect in every way...i regret selling it.

Lol. I love it. I wish sometimes I had a big ole modded out diesel for towing the camper, and now the boat but you're right. IMO it is the perfect vehicle. It'll get you literally anywhere you want to go...and parts are all over this planet for it. In the background you can see my wifes 04' GX470, it has 228K on it. Not a creak, rattle, squeak, or shimmy. The build quality of a Toyota is unreal.

LC fan here as well. Though I might argue the FZJ80 was the "best". My DD is a 97 locked collectors edition. My wife is on her 2nd LX570 and were looking at downsizing to the GX in a few years. What do you guys think about the rear door vs. the LC clamshell hatch?

Nice! I'm happy to hear there's a few LC fans in here. Either of you over on Ih8mud? I love the look and simplicity of the 80's but I needed something with a little more pep in its step. The 4.7L is considered a dog by most V8 standards but it's hands down better than the I6 of the 80's. It's also proven to be one of Toyota's most reliable engines. Also, mine being an 04 with the extra gear made it a solid choice for my family rig. That 570 is very nice! I'd imagine it would be a huge change stepping down to the GX line from the LX. I feel quite cramped in the driver seat of my wife's.

Hmm, clamshell vs swinging door...?? I like both. If I had to choose one, it'd be the clamshell of my 100 series only because I like having that tailgate still. It makes me feel like I'm still driving a truck....some what. The door is nice too though. I'm thinking of adding the gas prop mod to my wife's for an auto open feature.
