I wish there was a way to do this without drilling holes in my boat !

There is. Liquidlite or Binnacle Boat Supply. They have the garboard plug, underwater light. Remove plug, screw in light, attach to power supply. Just make sure you get a 5/8 (?) plug. Of course they're not gonna be as bright, but no drilling.

I am actually in the process of making my own drain plug LED light. I did not want to drill holes or pay the price of the drain plug LEDs (since the brightness will be limited). I am in the process of collecting parts but will start a thread once I start making it.

anyone tried drilling a through hole in the plug and running wires through there with quick disconnect on other side and mounting lights on attitude plate? It was just a thought I might play around with, keeps holes out of hull and worst case you buy a new plug
