Optima is a brand, and a brand that happens to be an AGM. If you want a straight cranking AGM battery, the optima has a low $$$ to CCA ratio. If you want a house battery and are shopping for amp hours, the Optimas have the lowest $$$ to AH ratio.

If both batteries are draining, then there are multiple issues. If both batteries are draining while at anchor, something is not wired in the most ideal manor.
