NXT 22 Ballast Empty but do not Fill

I have a 2017 NXT 22 that I have taken out 12 times and never had problems filling my starboard stock bag until this week. It empties fine. I can manually fill it with an external tsunami pump. I have tried to turn on the pump while in reverse but it just won't fill. Could it need to be primed or any thoughts?

Had same problem most likely it is water locked. You have a low spot in the line. Try to force some water trough it.

My starboard pump does the same. Only fix I have found is to open the engine cover, remove the big black panel on the port side of the boat (side opposite of the starboard bags) this is the side with the pumps. My pump that fills the starboard bags is the pump closet to the engine. Then twist the top of the pump to bleed the line (water will gush in for a second) then close it, and turn the pump on. It sucks when the engine is hot, but it works for me for now.

I had the same problem one time. I turned the pump on while I was moving ~15-20mph and it filled it up. It has worked fine ever since.

The problem with nxt is it's not the same pump to fill and drain like the x series. I have asked my dealer if there was a easy way to swap them to the x series pumps and got told no. There is a drain pump and fill pump for each tank. Maybe air lock in the fill line? Maybe try to bleed the line and make sure the pump handle is up and open?

My bow tank wouldn’t fill for me one time. I left the pump on and pounded some waves at 25 for a few minutes......that did it for me.
