Lexus GX460

I am looking to sell my 2007 Sequoia and take my wife's 2014 GX460 and get her a "new" vehicle. I do very limited towing (maybe once a year to and from the dealer approximately 45 miles one way) or less than a mile in spring and winter to and from my storage shed to lift. Does anyone have a GX 460 they use as a tow rig? I am also looking to add some 20x9 wheels with some more rugged tires

I gotta imagine you will be fine with the 22 as your GX is just a fancier version of a Land Cruiser Prado.
I pull a 45 with my Land Cruiser 200 150 miles each way while climbing 7000’ and it handles no problem as long as you take your time.
Granted I have a 5.7, but still the 4.6 should be plenty.

As jon_thornton posted above, you'll be fine. Actually you'll probably be quite surprised how well it does. I tow primarily with my LX470 but on occasion this summer we used my wifes GX470. To my surprise the GX towed much better. I attribute this to the GX being quite a bit lighter but having the same 4.6L.
