2016 X10 Ballast Bags Going to Burst?

Hi, I have a 2016 X10 with the 450lbs PnP ballast bags in the rear lockers. When I fill the system and the bags in the lockers get close to full (about 5/6th's full), the bags seem like if I continue to fill them, they will burst.

The 1/6th of space left is all air. I would think that this air trapped in the bags would come out of the vent hose and water would eventually be able to overflow out the side. I disconnected the vent hose from the bag and blew air thru each side, I can clearly feel the air I am blowing coming out of the overflow hole on the side of the boat (confirming there is no blockage as some people have stated can happen).

I like to have water overflow when I am filling my ballasts to confirm they are full. However, I am not doing this because I have fear if I actually continue to fill, something will burst.

Anyone have an experience or thoughts with bags and how tight they can get and anything about the PnP bags and overflowing?

Thanks!

The first couple times a year I fill my bags I always break the air bleeder loose and let the air out until bag is full. Then I just hit full until she pees real good and call it done

Should be a little fitting on top of the bag you can unscrew

If you can hear the pumps, it is likely in need of new ballast impellers.

Yes timers,...... and I am guessing the rear ballast timers should be 8 mins plus. If they are say 4 mins you will only fill the tanks and not the bags.
