87 Platium ProStar Restoration

Well I got my 1987 190 Platium ProStar back from Leading Edge Marine Interiors the week before Memorial Day weekend. WOW!!!
The boat looks great. They brought back the metal flake to like new, the decals were like factory. "thanks to a thread on team talk". The dash was repainted, window frame repainted, new carpet, new Sony tunes, and the interior was every thing I thought it would be,it looks a little origanal but they used some hot colors. They had a bucket seat out of a newer boat that looks and feels awsome.
The motor has new cables, electronic ignition, new plug wires,Beede gauges, new swithces and panels. The guys at OJ Props hooked me up with a four blade prop that is smooth as silk.
I am taking it back next week to have a custom cover made for it. I will try to get pics up when I get it back.
Any one close to Loudon TN. look these guys up!!

FYI, the Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Platinum ProStar was produced during the 1988 year model, not 1987. The last two numbers in your HIN should be 88, correct?

I had one, and they were made in 88. NOT 87.

1987 Platinum ProStar pics

Well here are some pics of the our winter project.
For the record the serial number confirms that it IS a 1987.The metal flake and red pin confirm that it IS a Platinum. And i'm pretty sure that it's a 190. Looking at the serial number it was the 7th. one built so it may have been a early release.
Any way it's lookin good and and on the water. Another Classic MasterCraft!!

Well, I'll be damned. That IS an 87. In 88 they stopped making the center windshield glass operable. I had one in my 87 and wanted to replace the one in my 88 Platinum when I bought it. Mine was #66 out of 200 built. That boat looks damn nice pal!
