Extended Warranty for new boat
Anyone have any experience with the Cornerstone Extended Warranty as an add-on to factory warranty for MC boats?
For 3K you can extend the warranty for drivetrain and all in-boat systems for 6 years total. It's basically a "bow-to-stern" warranty. Might be a useful cushion considering all the issues with 2012 boats. |

If it's the same as the old "3 + 3" keep in mind that it is not a factory warranty. Dealers can decide whether or not they will accept it.

I'm buying it through my dealer (MMS) so shouldn't be any issues. The warranty specifically covers ballast and touch screen which are the components I'm most worried about.

I would recommend you do some research on the warranty provider via BBB, consumer complaints etc. I did that when offered an extended on a car purchase and was shocked to see what a dubious provider my Honda dealer was offering. When the warranty provider is not the mfr, their objective is to hold costs down. The OEM has at least some interest in the actual owner satisfaction.
