surf board

Anyone have any recommendations on surf boards, i currently have a hyperlite board and it sucks, skim style, and has no push. I rode a buddys two year old phase five this weekend and could ride without rope first pull. Is there that much difference. Thanks for input from everyone in advance.

yes, it's a bid difference. I like the Ronix Koal for a factory board but none are close to my Soul craft. It can catch up 8ft further back than my Koal board can...but it's pricey.

You mean you can be 8 ft back further and speed up back into the pocket? That is amazing and would be worth a little more money,, which one is it if you don't mind.

I just got a ronix koal fish. 5'6". It's blows my old cheap cwb board away. Buddy also has a ronix koal 5'0" and it rips too.

I keep the 5'0 Ronix Koal on the boat for newbie surfers, it has tons of float for them and with the 3 fins stays pretty stable. I use a Phase 5 Oogle as my main ride. My knees are getting destroyed now so I'll be boarding less and less so was thinking of picking up a custom Soulcraft.

When I ride the Koal I pretty much have to keep the brakes on the whole time as it has so much forward push. The first 360 behind my boat was accomplished on the Koal with 2 of the fins removed.

I rode a Ronix Koal powertail recently and it's crazy fast. I want to buy one now. Behind the X30 I felt like I had to constantly hit the brakes on it but I think it would be perfect behind my boat.

^^^^ X 2....
SoulCraft is just like buying a bigger Wave for $800...
Better money than more Ballast or GEN 2....
