Question Which MasterCraft would you get if you had 60k to play with?

I want to start out by saying that the 1999 Maristar I own is a great boat. It has the 333LTR, tower and everything works fine. The vinyl is staring to discolor so do I put the money into that and since I have 650 hours maybe an engine rebuild

But I used to really like the x45 and x star hulls that ride really low to the water and had additional space

I have to do much research but was hoping you could point me into the right direction

Sam

No reason to need an engine rebuild just because you have 650 hours. 1500 plus is normal. Does your engine have a problem?

A well done completely new interior is expensive though but I think as long as you don't go overboard you'd get most or some of it back on resale provided the rest of the boat is well maintained.

If you care about surfing you'd have to get a 2014+ to have gen 2. I don't know if you can do that w/ 60k (maybe an nxt)
or
You can add GSA to any boat for 4k.

If you don't care about surfing there are tons of great options w/ more storage for 60k.

Xstar
x45
x25
x30
etc.

Lightbulb

I don’t need to surf so the options you listed sound fine.

What do you think about this click here—->one?

Our MariStar is at 930 hrs without a rebuild. You've got sooooo much life left in that engine before you even need to start thinking of a rebuild. If I had 60k to play with? I'd be getting a 2008 XStar because we pretty much exclusively wakeboard and it's my favorite MasterCraft. Should be able to find a well maintained one for around 55k.

I'd be going after a X-15 and would also consider the X-25, or X-30. Maybe event the X-2. They're all great boats!

X25 with GSA and pocket the change. A 2013+ with gen2 will be hard to find under 60k.
This boat handles the chop very well and the wakeboard wake is great. Surf can be a little difficult to dial on the goofy side without a better surf system. Regular is really good listed or with a suck gate.

X30 and X15 are also great choices if you prefer a traditional bow. You can get a really nice 2010-2011 for that price. No bad hulls during those years, just different in size and handeling characteristics.

A used 16 nxt with warranty and the 16 tower with plug and play bags. A nxt22 should be in your range of 60k
