ZFT4 Tower Speaker Locations

Ok, I would like to add another set of speakers but not real stoked on putting them right in the middle where I know I will hit them with my head.

Has anyone put them in a different spot? If so how did you do it?

Mounted mine in the center but used the shorter mounts. Still have to remember they are there but looks good.

Do you happen to have a picture of your set up?

Not the best angle from the mirror but you can see they are a little closer to the tower

I put my 7’s in the middle and mounted my 8’s on the outside. I haven’t had a problem with head room like I thought I would. Just use the low pro mounts. Saves an inch.

You get used to them being there. I added two more to mine and hasn't really been an issue. As others have said use the low pro mounts.

Here is a pic with the covers on. We have 4 8 inch. There is plenty of room to walk through the middle.

I still hit my head once a season

Mount them where the mounts are. There will be plenty of headroom to walk through the middle along the SeaDek into the boat. Don't overthink it!

I guess I am overthinking it just seems like they would be in the way because we are constantly going back and forth through that back seat.

I can see from that one pic that the middle speakers are slightly higher than the others.

Did you guys that added them later get your speakers from Mastercraft or outside source and were they a matching set?

I got the white 880s from Earmark. But, I will only have two on the tower.
Does anyone know what size screw/bolt holds the speakers on the tower?

Never mind, as it appears it is 1/2 allen.
