Wife's birthday present ruined - Terrible online retailer

I'm really pissed at an online retailer. (If it is against the rules to complain about a retailer I am sorry). And this is only my opinion.

I found a great deal on an 18' Hyperlite Broadcast board for my wife's birthday. I get an email last night, 5 days after order placement, that "due to the size of the board and my location, they are cancelling my order" I live between two semi-large cities in MI and can't agree that my location has anything to do with it.

So screw them... But in reality now I need to find another board that is not $300 that would make her happy. BTW- she doesn't have much experience with water sports, but has shown such a passion for learning something to enjoy our time together.

I am kind of stuck on getting her a wakesurf board, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. But, in reality, I just wanted to show my disappointment with this company.

They have lots of wake gear and the prices are pretty good.

here's another. it reads free STANDARD shipping However IMO this would be considered oversize. That's probably your original problem

Link to the old one? Maybe we can source it for you and get you that gift still. I am pretty good finding things online. Also it's a wakeboard no reason to cancel the order due to size

Your wife BD is not ruined. If you bought her a vacuum, then yes you ruined it but not with thought and effort you are showing.

Here's a great deal on a Hyperlite broadcast on ebay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Essenti...kXR~:rk:1:pf:0

I bought one of these for my daughter and it arrived in factory packaging.
It has a promotional graphic on it for Essentia Water, but it actually looks pretty cool.

Shipping was fast. No complaints.

Well good news. I received an email from the retailer who said my order was "cancelled in error" and they shipped the board yesterday. I sent them an email stating the importance of my order and that I was disappointed in their customer service and not being able to meet the terms and conditions of their website.

I am definitely pleased with the outcome, although I did tell my wife last night "the people on team talk are so helpful" and her reply was "Oh it is something for the boat!?!"

Cheers.
