Calling all 90's Prostar experts

My wife and I grew up slalom skiing and have had a few DD boats in the past. Given our advancing age and disdain for 30+mph crashes we started surfing with friends and fell in love with wake surfing. We bought a new boat this year that we love but the bump is quite evident for aggressive recreational skiing at any speed. I am currently looking adding a dedicated ski boat, Looking at 3 boats and would love your expert opinions.

-94 190, Blue/White, 440hrs, Stargazer GPS, 350EFI, $3k stereo(don't care about it), single axle trailer. $12k

-97 190, Red/White, 455hrs, LT1 w/PS, Single axle, $17k

-99 190, Blue/White, 197hrs, I think LT1 but not certain, tandem axle, $13.5k

All are in seemingly excellent condition in/out, the right colors for us, no towers, etc. Would prefer tandem axle but probably not a huge deal. All boats are 10-15 hrs away from home (Boise).. Thanks so much in advance.

If the 99 is an LT1 and in the same condition as the rest, it wins on pricing and trailer. If not then I would go with the 97. None are bad choices.
I personally hated the single axle with direct drive. I live in a really hilly area and it would bottom out every trip. Have a tandem now and it's yet to kiss the ground.

94 has the best wake - but a but high in price. 97 and 99 much more bump. the 99 is the best value and is probably the LTR - iirc. For recreational skiing even agressive - the 99 would be ok. IMO

You can flip the axle to get a bit more rise from the prop guard.

It's a personal choice, but I never liked the style of the 99's.

The other 2 are fine choices, but I think both are priced a little high even in mint condition.
Negotiate either one down by at least $2K and you'll have a great ski boat.
I'd go for the 97 LT-1 slot personally.........add StarGazer and you're good to go.

Single axle trailers tow great, you can add axle spacer blocks to keep the tail up higher.

This. ^^^^^ 91...94 were touted as the best for slalom until more recent boats came out. At least that's what I was always told when I had my 91.

All great choices, I think you can get the 94 for less than that, the 97 seems like a very good boat but a bit high in price the 99 which is the one I know the least about looks like a good deal.

94. The 97 is good, too, but is overpriced.
