Thanks goodness you sold it. It would have been terrible to have to spend another day at the lake in a 45. Just kidding... A RED 45 is still my favorite boat from MC. Congrats on the sale. Be sure to keep us posted on what you order. I'm hoping they upgrade the x45 in 2014 & then I'll start shopping. Ps. Great looking boat.

Did you get close to your asking price? That was a fast sell this time of year.

I was very surprised by how fast it sold. Just the situation of the right buyer at the right time. Apparently his 45 had been stolen, and he had insurance money to spend. I sold it for 95K. Pretty smooth deal all in all. We have a demo of the 30 scheduled for today.

Well, we just got home from the X30 demo. We really liked the boat. It feels very big and roomy inside, but it drives and handles like a sports car. It felt very light on the water to steer, especially compared to my 45. The wakeboarding wake does not have as much vertical pop as my 07 X30 or X45, but some may prefer that and it does make it easier to keep control when you hit it hard. It actually steepened up a bit more with 30% plate down and of course more ballast. We didn't take time to set it up for surfing as we don't surf tons anyway, and it's surfing prowess has been well-documented on here. In other words I already know it surfs great. The ZFT4 tower was rock-solid with no side-to-side sway.

So does that mean you're buying the Red X30 at Action? Or ordering one maybe?

We are still undecided. I would say that we are leaning towards the X30, but are waiting to see what our cost would be on the '12 vs ordering a '13. I know you have been out on the red one. Are you considering an X30 as well. Did your friends decide to buy one?
