So the screws fell out of one side of my platform on my 197.....Any ideas on a solid way to fill and replace before I start the Teak Fix?

Still not sure the Linseed/Spirits recipe is worth the effort?

Well then, here is exhibit 28. I used 3 cups of Linseed Oil and 1 cup of Mineral Spirits. That was enough for one coat on the bottom of an X25 platform and 3 coats on top.

Spent Easter weekend making the platform look new again. Man I love refinished teak!!!

On a side note, MC needs to come up with a new mouthing bracket for the platforms, its almost an act of congress to get this thing on/off and takes multiple people.

I just unpin mine and let it drop down to rest on the surf tabs and work on it there.

My first time using the 75-25 mix. I really liked it. In the past I've used StarBrite.

What grain sandpaper are you guys using to sand down the teak? Are you you starting rough and ending smooth? How smooth?
