Adding Gen 2 to '14 X10

I saw in a previous thread that it was around $5,900.
Does anyone know if this is still the cost or are there better options out there?

Thanks.

Honestly I have a 13' x-10 no tabs. If you have the ballast just get a Nauticurl and does just as good if not better then then tabs. Been on 10's with gen2 to compare. $200 vs $5k it's a no brainer.

I wouldn’t do anything but gen 2. Pre gen 2 boats just don’t sell, and I can guarantee you’ll get a lot of that money back in resale

This! ^^^^^^ Gen 2 is totally worth the cost both now and at resale time. Nobody would be silly enough to buy a 2014 without it so those boats lacking will sit for sale a LONG time or need to be highly discounted to sell. Just like the ones with the ZFT0 towers.

Tried both on an X10, one with Gen2 and one with a surf wedge and there is no comparison it's Gen2 hands down as the wave has way more energy or push as people like to call it. The surf wedges do help tremendously with delayed convergence but not at the same level as Gen2.

I added Gen 2 to my 2014 X10 at the start of last year for a number of reasons. Before we had Gen 2 we had the original surf tabs, we used to list the boat and use the surf tabs to clean up the wake, which worked pretty well but my wife did not like to drive the boat listed, was also a hassle to change sides. My wife much prefers driving the boat evenly weighted and now we can change sides touching the touch screen.

We looked at upgrading to a demo 2015 X10 at the time which was going to work out around 6 times the cost of adding Gen 2 to my current boat which I could not justify just going from 14 to 15. Dealer said Gen 2 would add around $6k-$10k in resale, in Australian dollars. I thought from my perspective that if I was looking at buying a 2014 I would want Gen 2 which no doubt others would, which would affect when I come to sell. I also think the triple tab auto launch works much better than just the centre tab auto launch that I used to have pre Gen 2.

I canít help you with prices as I am located in Australia but I did not have to buy the full kit. I already had the Surf tabs, so the dealer was able to use the actuators from the surf tabs on the Gen 2 tabs, I also had the attitude adjustment plate and the piggy back ballast. Maybe if you have any of these items you might be able to decrease the cost.

That's a ridiculous statement.

After seeing the surf wake of arics gen 1 x15 and gen 1 x25, i dont blame him for saying that. The gen 1 tabs didnt retract far enough and messed up the surf wake even when not deployed.
