2004 X10 Fuel tank - can't use all my fuel

Hey all,

wondering if anyone else has dealt with a fuel tank that holds 40 gallons, but won't let you at the last 10 gallons? No matter what I do, the last 10 gallons cannot be reached by the fuel pump, short of running at 15 mph with the nose in the air.

I've thought about adding a long pickup line or relocating the existing, but I have no experience with either.

Any ideas?

thanks
Joel

Having the extra volume of fuel at all times could be to keep the fuel pump cool? We never run under 1/4 tank. Fuel pumps can be spendy.

mwenger - thanks for that response. I hadn't considered that issue.

I guess we'll just live with it as is. Hardly a deal breaker!
