Jameis was issued a civil penalty, anyone else would have been charged with shoplifting. He told police that he forgot to pay for the crab legs and realized it after he got home. However, he made no effort to go back or call Publix to tell them he would be back and pay for the crab legs.

Suspending Jameis from the baseball team is a complete joke since he's not a starter. But that will give Jimbo Fisher enough latitude to say that he's been punished and not have to suspend him for any football games. LOL!!!

FSU always seems to turn the other cheek when their star atheletes get in trouble with the law. Janikowski - Date rape drug, and I can't remember all of the atheletes involved in the Dillard's shoplifting incident, but Bobby Bowden's response was "Boy's will be boy's".

I really thought that Jimbo Fischer would bring some much needed discipline back to the FSU program, but appears that winning National Championship has changed all of that.

As for Aaron Hernandez - I don't recall him being arrested while attending UF. Also, Aaron is spelled with two A's......

And for the record my daughter graduated from FSU!!!
I'm no fan of the Crimi-noles OR southern meatchicken, but the thugs are everywhere in college sports. Until the money machine that is college football and basketball is turned off the schools will continue the trend we see where athletes are given a pass and "gets them a education"! And the universities will "gets themselves mo money, mo money, mo money!

And for the record they found out about what AAron Hernandez was up to when he was at southern michigan. It was no good then either. ....not nearly as bad as getting tattoos though, right Tricky?

Our local news station reported this morning that a couple of months ago Jameis went into a Burger King with his own solo cup and started getting coke out of thier soda fountain. A manager asked him to stop but he ignored him and continued to refill his own solo cup.

This punk believes he's above the law just like O.J. Simpson did. Give him enough time and he'll hang himself............

It’s amazing you don’t recall any discipline issues when Urban Meyer was winning championships, but can recite issues in Tallahassee. As you can see from the list of players below, which is not all inclusive, uf is no different than FSU when it comes to the legally challenged. Florida just doesn’t have a title that rhymes with criminal in which to poke fun. Don’t worry Trick, it has to get better for you gator fans next season. There is plenty of room for improvement when you go 4-8.
On a different note I completely agree with CP. Big money has ruined college football. The new playoff system should be called the Teamster’s Bowl Championship Series.

I never said that UF didn't have it's own problems. My point is that most if not all of the players mentioned above were disciplined and or suspended from the team. Jameis has not had either. Allowing this kid to think he's above the law is only going to lead to bigger things in the future - C'mon Man!!!

Again - My daughter graduated from FSU...........
