'87 190 vibration

Sometime back there was a post about vibration and the cause being the flex plate. Anyone remember the details? Mine suddenly developed one for no apparent reason, no noise no underside damage to drive line or prop.????

Check your cutlass bearing and engine alignment. Cutless bearings need to be replaced once in a while and will cause a vibration when it is time

Don,
This may be what you have in mind ==> here <==. Hope this helps. Probably several other threads if this was not the one.

I think info might be about the same, the one I was actually thinking about was longer ago I'm sure. The part I questioned was the noise that might come from a flex plate because mine is quiet as it can be, no clanking or anything like that. It just came out of the blue--boat had been fine all day. Don't know about the cutless bearing??? Little over two years ago I hit a log floating under the surface and it took our the complete under boat drive line so that under there should be good.
Just thought I could get some suggestions that might help out....
