Uship has anyone tried it as a carrier?

Just wondering if anyone on here is a carrier/hauler on Uship?

Seems like it might be a good way to make a few extra $$ servicing locals that need something transported....similar to Uber but for items instead of people?

Thoughts?

I have used them once and was completely happy. I sent a motor box from MN to CA for way less than I expected

one and only experience was a total joke. Luckily I was only a bystander.

My buddy was an MB dealer. Had me do some upgrades on a b52 prior to shipping from NC to montanna or something. Was to be picked up at my shop. Early 20's kid shows up in a 1/2 ton pickup with fresh uhaul installed hitch and infant child inside. Claimed wife had the real truck, 1 ton dually, and was finishing up some shopping before they left town. I didnt buy it.

2 days in and 2/3 of the way, he called begging for more cash as he was out of gas money and food money for baby. This I believed as I knew that big boat was going to be twice the gas as he figured behind that 1/2 ton truck.

Boat got there in one piece about 6 hours late.

Bottom line, dont go with the cheapest haul and vet well.

I e used them twice. I’ve also been a delivery driver with UShip. Both times went well.

I used them once for a new boat from San Diego to ATL. The folks I used were solid, had zero issues, delivered on time and great communication. To a certain extent it's a shot in the dark, but if you do the research on the shippers, insurance, licensing etc you should be fine.

Well you know I used it from PA to AR. He did exactly what he said he would do...might want to check their FEE schedule, he complained a little about them when dropping the boat off.

One of the guys in the club, I think his Dad does this but he is retired and just takes what he "wants" to bid on and it's about seeing the country I think. He has an F-250

Perfect experience for me. Did a lot of research to get comfortable but had no problems in the end.

Shipped an X55 from northern UT to Houston TX using UShip & it went well. Research the insurance, licensing & shipper first.
