2005 X9 Engine Options

I know there are a couple different engine options with the X9, being the Northstar version at 330HP and the MCX at 350HP. Can any of you comment on which engine is better as far as power, reliability, engine life? I'm looking at a couple X9s and was wondering what engine would be better. And, while I'm asking it, assuming all maintenance has been done, what amount of hours on the engine would be a deal breaker for you all?

I had a 05 X9 MCX for 7 seasons. Never let us down. MCX is a solid power plant for the X9
Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place.

I ran the LTR and had no problem. Enough speed and power for footing. Hours? it depends how it was taken care of. 600? no issues, 1200? definitely get compression checked. Both are 5.7L gm blocks, most engine electronics were pirated from c/k series trucks and marinized. The RTP may show a significant difference from the MCX if driven back to back, but otherwise folks have been happy with all of them.

2005 should have the MCX. I've got 700 hours on mine, so far so good.

2005 is also the first year for throttle by wire and swivel board racks.
Look close at the vinyl from 2003-2005. Mine had lots of cracking around the treads so I replaced all my skins a few years ago.
I was njskier on here.
