You can also try Elberts for running gear.

The cutlass bearings are plastic inserts pressed into the strut. There are two of them. They were quite easy to knock out by myself before I took the strut to be straightened. Since they were straightening the strut, I had them install the new ones for me. The worn groove I had on the shaft is a whole other matter.

I got a chance to look at the shaft tonight. The good news is, it isn't broken. The nut just came off and I have a new nut and spare prop so I will be hopefully fixing it in the morning. I will also be giving the shop that put my shaft seal a call to figure out why it came off and see if they will pay for my prop to be fixed. Not holding my breath though.

I had the boat fixed in labour 10 minutes. I replaced the shaft nut and the prop, so we are back in business!
