Found this in the bilge, what is it from?

I found this small threaded machine screw floating around in the bilge of my 2000 xstar. It's stainless, approx 1" long. Any ideas what it is and what it fell off?

When they make a new boat, they alway throw a few random screws or spare parts in bilge, just to drive your crazy!

Thought this would be the woodruff key for my water pump. Can't find it anywhere.

Plastic welded to drivers side panel then screwed to fibreglass. they pop off so glue them back on next time you have it off.

The diameter seems too narrow for it to be a panel fitting (unless it is a very small panel of course).

I agree, MC must have had a few spare that day and chucked them in the bilge...

Looks like the driver side panel anchor. It's glued to the backside of the armrest panel and holds it in place. If your panel isn't rattling or coming loose I wouldn't worry about putting it back on. Because chances are that if you start unbolting it and searching for the missing one you may pop another loose.

Just my .02. Hold on to it and when te time come that you ever have to remove the panel them put it back in.

LOL!!! I found a very nice pair of needle nose vise grips snugged up on a nut for the rear tow bar on the transom. I was very happy to have a new tool.
