Some head injury remnants can be fun, imagine the following:
1. Meeting new people all the time
2. Watching a movie you own and being surprised at the ending
3 Forgetting conservations you had with a person
4. Realizing you don't know where you're driving

Like you said Mike, I have just a little bit of a different perspective on things now.
So so sorry to see this Peter... On the lighter side did you wake up to a not so nice nurse?

Do you know I hardly remember waking up except for breathing tube, food tube and IV stuff everywhere and my Wife said I had an accident a week before. I think I accused her of telling me bull****! And for what it is worth I am recovering well guys, thanks for the thoughts. After all, I may not be able to ski but should be able to drive and enjoy still. The nurses weren't that bad either Mike

A week? wow... Peter - I am looking forward to reading more about your recovery. Awesome perspective on being able to drive the MC and enjoy!

Just something interesting for you is that my drivers licence and gun licence was suspended when they let me out after two weeks in hospital and two weeks in a rehabilitation clinic. The cops rocked up the morning after I got home and took my 13 firearms and ammo. I have had my drivers licence back for a month now but firearms are taking a while longer to negotiate. I bet you guys haven't got regulations this tough in the US?

They took my license until I was able to complete a 4 hour driving test that also measured my reaction time. If you have a seizure they will suspend your license for 6 months, at least in Alabama. As far as the weapons I don't know
