I've decided to pass on the 83. The wood stringers are a deal breaker. If I could personally check them out I may have done it but there's just too many unknowns to buy sight unseen. Also the owner leaves a lot to be desired on the communication. He has removed the Craigslist ad, so I'm not sure if there's another buyer in line. I just want to thank everyone that's been following this thread and trying to make this deal happen. TT is a very cool place to hang out, I have to admit it consumes much of my free time. I especially want to thank pmkkdx who was willing to go get the 83, pay out of pocket, and store it till I could get there to pick her up. This guy is a Rockstar and his wife is just as cool to go along with it. I hate that I'm not getting her but it was going to be more work than I wanted to commit too. Budman and Aric, thanks for helping me determine its a wood stringer boat. I knew it was wood once I saw the photos but Buds photos and post just verified what I was thinking. Thanks to 88 Prostar for willing to drive from Dallas. Special thanks to Ski/Hunt for offering to pick it up with his work RV and tow it home to Tennessee as he works his way back home over the next 2 weeks. I'm truly amazed that he would even consider doing that and all for only a case of Jack. I finish by saying this has been a fun 2 days trying to put this together and I'm even more impressed with the guys here at TT and especially the good ole southern boys from my two favorite states TN and TX.

Just come buy my 85, for sure all fiberglass. Everything is there, including safe t top. Needs a sand and buff, but other than that, it's water ready. Runs perfect! Not to mention for a few thousand less than you would have put in this boat!

After all the hype, someone needs to get the original thread boat and fix it. Or at least report out.
Just not me....
