New owner

Hello,
I just purchased a 2007 x-15. I got a great deal on a boat in perfect shape. Had 180 hours on it, but now over 200 and I have owned it less than a week. I live in Maine so the season is quickly coming to a close, and I think a major reason why I got such a deal.

Do have some questions though. The title lists it as an x-15, but the plate in the boat says Maristar. I realize they are the same hull. The seats are all embroidered with the x-series logo and the title does say x-15. It has all the ballast and tower, racks, and stereo and toys.

I don't care which it is as it will do everything I need but seemed a bit strange. Was this just an early x-15 or are they all labeled like this. It doesn't seem to have the same logos on the boat as well.

Thanks
John

Yeah on ours both the boat and trailer said maristar. Also the "X" stitching and lack of wood grain says its an x15.

My reg says Maristar as well, but its an X series. If it has the hard ballast tanks, you've got an X series. The graphics could've been changed out, so that's nothing to fret over. Great looking boat, congrats!!

That is a good looking boat. One question... How do you dock on the port (left) side? I've had an inboard for almost 30 years and I doubt I could maneuver the left side of my boat up against a pier.

Pull the nose in and walk it, or short blips of the throttle in reverse once coming up. To get out of our boat dock and exit the canal, we would have to back up to the left to get in the right direction. It takes some practice for sure

Just pull straight up to it with someone on that side, cut the engine, hit reverse, and someone grabs the cleat. Works with us every time.

My favorite color! Congrats on the new purchase. Always pull up on the starboard side and all will be good. Port side is always a pain in the a$$!

I'm confused?????? cut the engine then hit reverse?

Also, is there any trick to controlling where you are going when you back out of the dock. say i needed to back out to the left. any advice?
