Aviation BS Thread

We have a thread like this on another forum I frequent and I thought it would be cool to see if we had any av geeks on Team Talk. I've been fascinated by planes for as long as I can remember and will soon be starting a career where I'll be spending a lot of time in airplanes (in the back not the front).

If you're a pilot, lets see what you fly or the views from your cockpit! If you were a pilot in the military, show us your jets/tankers/helicopters/etc.! If found or made a cool video, share it! If you work(ed) on airplanes, let us know!

This thread is open to any and all for questions, discussion, BS, and photos/videos.

Here are a couple of pictures from my most recent flight

Since you asked, I'll play......

I am a corporate pilot in WA state. I fly corporate business and charter up and down the west coast. I fly a Cessna Citation Bravo, and a Beech King Air F-90 Turbo Prop. Below is the King Air.

Here are some pics when we parked at PDX in Portland a month or so ago after a huge ice storm. Citation Bravo covered in freezing rain, parked next to a Piper Meridian covered in ice....

How about some AV parts. We make parts for the airbus 777, apache helicopters, small private planes and prototypes, even air force one. We make Huge turbos, APU units and 10" exhaust for Apache helicopters out of 718 inconel and a lot of air duct work for the turbines. APU stands for auxiliary power unit in case someone's wondering. That's so when the planes waiting on the tarmac it can still run power to all Eletrical components if the turbines are off. They've be retro fitting them on most all large passenger planes for a few years now. This is an apu

And these are just some of the parts I make.

I know this is a long shot. But I also know it's a small world so I will throw this out there anyways.

We are looking for good aerospace TIG welders, in SE Michigan around sterling hgts. If you know any family or friends looking for a TIG welding job.

From the looks of that seat you get to fly much closer to the front than I do!
