Powell of course is awesome. Kind of a hike from Albq though, but if you have the time....
Navajo Lake up in the 4 corners is really cool. Maybe chilly in June though.

Wouldn’t tow a boat for the local lakes like Santa Rosa, Elephant Butte, Abiquiu, Conchas etc.

if you’re looking for the most beautiful water in the US you have to see TORCH LAKE michigan. It’s 9.5 hours from union, mo. VRBO a cabin there, pull the boat to see Walloon lake and lake charlevoix.

We drive 8.5 hours every summer to spend a week there (and we live on a huge 15,000 acre chain of lakes!)

I’m serious, google the pics of torch and Walloon lakes. There is no comparison. Keep in mind, like most natural wonders pics do no justice.
